Ruins #ME

It’s been a while since I posted. I wanted to share an article I had published in the ME Action Newsletter called RUINS. While ME is basically what you know as chronic fatigue, unfortunately, it’s more complicated than that. ME/CFS afflicts many of us who have undergone cancer treatment. Certainly that is the case for me and the reason I haven’t been more active on my blog in recent months.

If the interest is there, I will post again soon to talk about cancer related fatigue, ME/CFS, the differences and the connections. Until then, I hope you find this short article to have some meaning to your situation. On second thought, I hope you can’t relate. I’d rather you were fully recovered, enjoying life and having a ball.

  1. Beautifully expressed, Eileen. You’re the Parthenon of writers.

  2. I am so sorry that you having such a hard time and dealing with another serious disease. Much love to you.

Thank you for sharing and writing about this, Eileen. I’m sorry you’re dealing with “one more thing”. Ugh… Write more when you’re feeling up to it. It’s important stuff. Do take care. xx

    • Thanks, Nancy. It is an important topic that, unfortunately, afflicts more people than you’d imagine who have undergone cancer treatment. To be continued! xx

  4. Thank you for sharing your article, Eileen. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this. I would like to know more about it too, whenever you can write.

  5. Hello Eileen, thank you for such a good article and for sharing your experience. I think a lot of us would benefit from hearing about this when you’re able to share more. ME is still so poorly understood and it’s obvious some Drs over here still don’t believe it’s an illness as some of my friends know only too well. Take care, sending love from the UK xx

    • Tracy, nice to hear from you. Yes, ME is poorly understand. Only in recent years is it finding validity among some doctors, but certainly not enough. I was lucky in finding a doctor who diagnosed me and did so with the utmost compassion and understanding. Will post more soon. xx
